The Music on the Hill™ concert series, sponsored by St. John’s College, is a popular signature Santa Fe summer event. Our eighth season begins on June 12, 2013 and continues on Wednesday evenings on the college’s athletic field from 6 to 8 p.m. through July 24. Our 2013 performers are Faith Amour (June 12), Joan Kessler and the Santa Fe Great Big Jazz Band (June 19), Straight Up, with J Q Whitcomb and Brian Wingard (June 26), Vinnie and Janice Zummo (July 10), the John Proulx Quartet (July 17), and Nosotros (July 24).
Parking and Shuttle Information
Due to the overwhelming popularity of Music on the Hill™ , St. John’s College encourages concertgoers to take advantage of the fast, convenient, and free shuttle that runs every 15 minutes from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. between Museum Hill and the athletic field on each Wednesday of the concert series. St. John’s College thanks the City of Santa Fe and Santa Fe Rapid Transit for generously providing this service.
If not taking the free shuttle, concertgoers are advised to carpool whenever possible, as limited parking is available on a first come, first served basis. The following locations are available to Music on the Hill concertgoers: Udall and main Museum Hill lots (the latter not available on July 11), Santa Fe Prep main lot, I.H.M Retreat and Conference Center front lot accessed from Camino Cruz Blanca, and Rio Grande School. There is no parking at the Carmelite Monastery and or Atalaya Elementary School.
A drop-off-only location near the entrance to the athletic field on Camino Cruz Blanca has been designated.There is no Music on the Hill™ parking on Camino Cruz Blanca, Camino San Acacio, Calle Rumolo, Camino Cabra, or Camino Picacho.
Food may be purchased from Walter Burke Catering; beverages may be purchased from Sprouts. Concertgoers may picnic on the field. No seating is available.
For safety reasons, no pets are allowed on the field, bicycles must be parked along the tennis court fence, and children need to be monitored by their parents.
In case of inclement weather requiring cancellation of a concert, the St. John’s College switchboard will have updated information.
